1. What is Surgiclean® Absorbable collagen Hemostatic Sponge?

Absorptive gauze of oxidized regenerated cellulose is made from regenerated cellulose as raw material, to form a product after oxidation which can be degraded in the body with no residual material. The main ingredient is carboxy-methyl cellulose.

Hemostatic effect: Collagen sponge can absorb liquid dozens of times its own weight, forming blood clots on its surface and blocking blood vessels; collagen molecules effectively adsorb, aggregate and activate platelets and coagulation factors, initiating endogenous hemostasis.

Repair effect: Collagen is a growth factor for fibroblasts and vascular endothelial cells.
